ext. 3895

Hey! I’m Mayra Mendoza and I’m a Club and Leadership Consultant here at the Center for Leadership and Service office. I’m majoring in aeronautical engineering and hope to transfer to a University (possibly UW) after I complete my AS. One of the biggest goals I have is to earn a Ph. D. in my field of study, and a slightly smaller goal is to study abroad for a couple of years. I’m hoping to see places other than Seattle!

Probably the thing I like the most about my job is meeting new people and sparking them into becoming involved in the community. It’s great to be able to see the leadership potential people have and offer them opportunities in which they can further develop them.

One of my favorite quotes that I live by is “the best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time” by Abraham Lincoln. It reminds me to take life one day at a time and appreciate every minute of it.

Favorite part about my job is I like meet to new people.

Rolando's favorite leadership quote:

This is to have succeeded.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Viet

Viet Dinh

vdinh@highline.edu
ext. 3983

My name is Viet Dinh and I’m a Community Leadership Consultant at the Center for Leadership and Service.  After spending a couple years here at highline, I finally decided what I wanted to do in the future; I’m double majoring in Communications and Art, I’m good at both, so why not make a career out of it. As a Community Leadership Consultant, I get to use both while doing my job; I get to use my communications skills and creativity to communicate with club leaders and students around school.  My favorite part of my job is the fact that I get to interact with so many students around this campus and learn about the diversity of our school.  My hopes and goals for the future is pretty cliché, I just want to be successful and happy in whatever I end up doing.

Viet's favorite leadership quote:
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
